lions vs the blackhawks - The lions came out and showed a lot of heart early ,
The Lions close out their season with a bang by beating the Kings County Blackhawks 27-0. Byron "B-RON" Eason opened up the scoring by doing what B-Ron do and that is making people miss and look down right silly on a 14 yard TD run (XP Failed). Anthony "FLOYD" Centrella finally had a moment to shine and caught a picture perfect pass from Eddie Dixon for the 12 yard strike (Bonacorsa to Myrick for 2 points). On the Lions next possession Steve Leach ran off tackle for a 7 yard TD run (Bonacorsa kick). Early in the 4th quarter the D-Line who was in their backfield all day got extreme pressure and forced 2 interceptions both by Tyrone "SPEEDY" Sandford. On Speedy's 2 nd pick he ran it 63 yards to the house (XP failed). The Offensive line of (Gearrino, Martuscello, Miller, Hartgrove, Caballero) played stellar giving the QB time and the running backs holes all game long. The Defense played with fire and intensity for what seemed like 8-3 & out series. way to finish lions !

panthers travel to the bison and pull out a thriller 20-18 , and the running game came up big again for the panthers this kid #5 is a beast and he is hitting his stride at the right time with the playoffs looming the panthers needed a win to secure a spot and got it ! they have to feel great with the way the season ended ! they were picked to finish dead last and showed some big heart to comeback and finish with 3 straight victories and a 11 seed in the playoffs congrats to ray the hc but now it only gets tougher . hopefully the d can continue to be stout good luck come playoff time !

Esdk - bye

nassau punishers vs middlesex vikings Offense finally wakes up!

For weeks now it has always been the story of the dominant defense of the Nassau Punishers. This week it was a little different as the offense led by starting QB Quinton Dupree (2nd Start) finally got into gear. The offense was led by rookie running back Jerry Edwards with another stout game with six carries for over 50 yards an a touchdown. His numbers may not jump out at you but he was serving a suspension for conduct detrimental to the team in the first half, had he played the entire game an took his normal starter reps he would have exploded for over 100yards. The true heart of the offense wears number 7 our Quaterback Quinton Dupree. "Q has been a little banged up so I have been so tentative with my play calling. The talk about us not having any offense got to me for two weeks so we decided to just open it up and let it rip. " said Coach Jim. This change of philosophy led to Q throwing for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns in only one half as he was sat down to allow Mike Lecesse to come in and lead the team. Old faithful receiver Jamaal Salah led the team AGAIN in receptions but has yet to touch the end zone this season but his counterpart Kelvin Lett found his way into the end zone yet again on a beautifully thrown ball for a 80 yard strike. The second half the offense sputtered as Mike in his first game back struggled to find his rhythm. "For years Mike was the starter but Q is here now and gives up leadership and commitment. We need both guys and we know that Mike will get his wings underneath him and do what he has to do for this team." Said WR Jamaal Salah. We cant end this offensive conversation without mentioning the 3 yard touchdown pass to TE Chris Robinson, the first ever touchdown to a tight end in the history of this organization either as the Ravens and/or Punishers. Congrats to Chris as he continues to excel in blocking and pass catching! The biggest addition to the offense was the return of kicker Craig Pinto who not only made 2-3 extra points and 1-2 field goals, he nailed a 42 yarder and also executed a on side kick to perfection that H-back Rodney Myricks recovered. He has been welcomed back to the team with open arms and has put a fix on the weakest part of the Punishers armor.

Now to the Darkside, skull crushing defense what can I really say. The game has become so intense for LB Kyle Anderson and Tyrell Wilson, they have begun to compete with one another on the field. The intensity they bring filters throughout the defense as players like Keith Cole and Thomas Grubbs feed off it and feast on opposing teams offensive lines. The defense was great again causing five turnovers and one turnover returned for a touchdown by CB/Captain Jermaine Wilson. The defense was led by Thomas Grubbs with 6 tackles with Kyle Anderson with 6 tackles 1 Sack 1 forced fumble. The defensive coaches have done an outstanding job at keeping the end zone touchdown free. "It gets boring out there sometimes. We get no action in the secondary." Said Troy. He is right because the Vikings were 3 and out a lot yesterday with there only decent drive at the end of the first half that ended with a interception in the end zone by S/CB Alex Azure. The defense is the best in the BNEFF and though stats against the defense seem a little suspect there has yet to be a touchdown given up by the Bonecrushing Punisher Darkside defense. Broncos are next at Roosevelt High at 1pm! This is our annual homecoming game we play in the first place that opened there arms to us. You can never get to where you want to go if you don't remember where you came from
